Attendees of the launch event will be treated to 2 presentations by Lucia Harper, the visionary founder of Brave Stages Inc., the home of The Reliable Optimist Network. Lucia is known for her expertise in public speaking strategies and media relations She will share her insights and the exciting vision behind this groundbreaking initiative. Playing games is a foundational learning experience with Brave Stages Rehearsal Studio. It frees us from nerves as we learn. Professor Speaky will lead a fun game of expanding expression. This game is a ccre part of the Brave Stages Rehearsal warm up.

This innovative service helps veterans and their families to navigate the process of leaving the CAF to enter civilian life.
Why we choose the Royal Canadian Legions for Brave Stages events in Canada
We hold events event at the RCL because Lucia and her family have always served. Her father, Capt (Ret) Mel Harper Airforce, served as a Pension advocate with the Dominion, Nova Scotia and Ontario Commands of the RCL for over 30 years after service in the Air Force. Lucia worked at Dominion Command in Membership and spent time as a civilian contractor at NDHQ Ottawa. She also instructed at the Canadian Police College. Lucia’s then military spouse served in Afghanistan.
